Cookies and browser storage
What our website and the signed-in service keep in your browser, and why.

1. The short version
The public pages of this website set one cookie: our hosting provider's, which keeps a visit on one version of the site. They also keep one empty setting in your browser, which stays empty until someone signs in. Signing in adds a sign-in cookie, and the signed-in service sets a few more and keeps a few settings in your browser. Each one is needed to run the site or sign you in, or remembers a display choice. None is for advertising or analytics.
Because of that, we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever add something beyond what is listed here, we will update this page before we do.
3. Settings kept in your browser
The service also keeps a few settings in your browser’s own storage. They never go to other companies. They are not used to follow you. The first one below is also written, empty, when a public page loads.

4. What we do not use
- No advertising cookies and no advertising scripts.
- No analytics cookies and no analytics scripts.
- No social media buttons or embedded videos from other companies.
- No outside font service. We host our own fonts, so your browser does not contact a font company.
5. Other requests your browser makes
Our hosting provider receives every request to the site and processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and protect it. See the Privacy notice.
In the signed-in service, a staff photo loads from our file-storage provider through a link that works for 15 minutes.
6. Removing them
You can delete cookies and stored settings in your browser’s settings at any time. Removing the sign-in cookie signs you out. The service will not work without it. The other items only reset your display choices.
