Data requests
Who to ask to see, correct, return or delete information, and what happens next.
Last updated October 18, 2026
1. Parents, guardians and students
Start with your school. The school keeps the student’s record, and the school decides what to show, correct or remove. Ask the school office to see or correct a record.
If the school needs our help, the school sends the request to us and we help the school respond. We do not answer a parent’s or a student’s request for student records ourselves. If you write to us, we will point you to your school.
2. School and district staff
Staff who want to see or correct their own records should ask their school or district office first. Authorized school staff can correct many details directly in the service.
3. Schools and districts
A school or district can ask us for a copy of its information, for a correction, for deletion, or for the return or deletion of its information when the contract ends. Write to hello@mainofficeworks.com and include:
- the name of the school or district;
- the name and role of the authorized contact who is asking; and
- what you need: a copy, a correction, deletion, or return and deletion at the end of the contract.
We handle these requests by hand, with the authorized school contact and in line with the district’s signed agreement and applicable law. The Privacy notice has the rest of our commitments on retention and deletion.
4. Website inquiries
If you wrote to us through the contact form or by email, you can ask what we hold from that message, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@mainofficeworks.com.
